So you hear a noise coming from your pool motor and think, "This noise is going to drive me crazy. The neighbors must love us right now!". So you call your pool company to come out and diagnose the noise.
Well, 9 times out of 10, what you are hearing is the bearings going out in your motor.
I remember years ago, pool companies offered to replace the bearings in pool motors. This was not an acceptable manor of dealing with the issue of a loud motor. Yes, the noise may have subsided a bit, but it never seemed to do the job permanently, only causing pool owners to complain about the noise returning.
These days when the bearings start to go out, the only solution is to have the motor replaced. Swimming pool motors today are built as a closed unit and therefore cannot be "opened" to replace the bearings. Plus, the cost, if you can find a company willing to do it, is probably gonna be as costly as installing a new motor anyway.....
So if you have a loud, squealing, noisy pool pump that is driving you crazy, give us a call so we can schedule one of our experienced repair techs to can come out and replace it, and therefore, remedy the noise, give you peace of mind and make your neighbors happy again..
