Love Your Pool Again
A Frisco remodel is a set of choices made together: a surface that suits hard North Texas water, a deck that copes with blackland clay that swells and shrinks every year, coping that ties them together, and equipment and lighting that change how the pool is used after dark.

Pool Decking Options
Decks in Frisco sit on blackland clay that swells and shrinks every year, so the material and the base matter as much as the look; pavers forgive movement that cracks stamped concrete.

Coping, Equipment & Water Features
Edges, equipment, and features finish the job: coping that suits the deck, a variable-speed pump and LED lighting on the pad, and a spillover or fountain if the yard calls for it.

A Smarter Path to a Beautiful Pool Remodel
The decisions behind a good Frisco remodel, in the order we make them: what the shell and lines need, which surface suits hard North Texas water, what the deck should be on blackland clay that swells and shrinks every year, and what to upgrade while the pool is open.

Ah Frisco, one of the fastest growing areas of DFW. The city must be home to quite a few pool gatherings because we seem to always have a pool remodeling project in progress for a Frisco homeowner. We adore working in the area. From The Colony to the start of McKinney, the city has some incredible custom homes. In the past few months we have completed some beautiful upgrades including a firepit & underwater LED lighting design just west of the IKEA, a pool replaster in Stonebriar Creek, and a custom pool deck & smoker pit project for a lovely pool owner in Starwood.
Frisco's first wave of pools went in with Starwood and the streets around it in the early 2000s, and that builder plaster is now rough and mottled after twenty years of hard water, while the Phillips Creek Ranch and Newman Village pools are a decade behind on the same curve. Most Frisco owners have never remodeled a pool, because until now the pools were too new.
A Frisco remodel is the first time an owner gets to choose anything about the pool, since the builder picked the original finish to match a model home. We bring the samples to the yard and hold them against the stone and the outdoor kitchen, and we talk about lighting first, because a Frisco pool is used at night as much as by day.

Questions Frisco Pool Owners Ask
How long is the pool out of service for a replaster?
About two weeks from drain to swim: a day or two to drain and chip, a day for the new surface, then the fill and a month of daily brushing while it cures. We plan it around your calendar because you are out of the water for the whole stretch.
Answered by a Blue Science pool builder, DFW MetroplexCan you remodel an existing pool?
Yes. A remodel is how a Frisco pool gets a new interior finish, waterline tile, coping, decking, lighting, and, if you want them, features such as a sun shelf, a spa, or a waterfall, all on the shell you already have. The pool is drained, the old surface is removed, the shell and plumbing are repaired where the inspection finds problems, and the new finish goes on before a careful fill-up and startup. After hard water, spring pollen, and July heat have had ten or fifteen years at a surface, that is usually what the pool needs. Our Frisco remodels run through evaluation, scope and selections, demolition, repairs, tile and coping, the new finish, then fill-up and a startup we handle ourselves.
Can a pool remodel be financed?
Contact us to discuss financing options for your Frisco remodel. Financing is worked out alongside the written scope, so you know what the project includes before you decide how to pay for it.
Do you upgrade equipment during a remodel?
When it earns its place. With the water out, lights, fittings, drains, and plumbing connections are reachable in a way they will not be again for years, so LED lighting, a variable-speed pump, or automation get folded into the same Frisco project when they solve a known problem or an energy hog. Equipment is evaluated on condition and compatibility, not replaced by default.
How long does a pool remodel take?
It depends on the scope. A resurfacing alone keeps a Frisco pool out of service for a couple of weeks including cure and startup; add tile and coping and it runs longer; a full remodel with new decking and equipment is a project of several weeks. The written scope carries the schedule, and the sequence is planned so the pool is drained once and refilled once.
